About the Book
Lisa Cruse grants a look into the Ambrosia Cottage design yearbook with a compilation of her own photography featuring her original designs through the year 2011. Originally created as a personal reference, this photo collection offers a wealth of inspiration in the needle arts whether design, color or technique is the focus. Her hats, knitted and fulled from original patterns, plus her vintage hat collection, form the perfect backdrop for incredible embellishments and show her unique and elegant style in wearable art.
A delight for collectors and needle work enthusiasts alike, the color within these pages is no less beguiling than the hat designs themselves. Embellishments include needle felting, embroidery, beading, ribbon flowers, cut felt. This is NOT a craft instruction book. The final pages showcase an original painting.
Lisa Cruse is an artist and designer living in New England, USA. Her needlework career began at a tender age and has been a lifelong passion. She hosts an online knitting group known as Ambrosia Cottage and sells knitting and sewing patterns and designs and teaches workshops internationally.
