About the Book
The Duck’s Diaries. - Field histories from “Chasing the Golden Duck” Nowadays the pursuit of our dreams seems much more like a wild goose chase than a possible reality. With that in mind, and recalling La Fontaine’s fable "The Goose That Laid the Golden Eggs" and greedy Uncle Scrooge (from the very American Disney cartoon Donald Duck), I began to pursue an ongoing project called "Chasing the Golden Duck." I believe that my obsessive chase of a golden duck offers a metaphor that, in its playfulness and simplicity, can provide an alternative view of our reality. In addition to the photographic images, I started to write the duck’s diary because each adventure turned out to be a microcosm of experiences that are too rich to be forgotten.
