A time to give thanks
It’s almost the most wonderful time of the year. And with that comes the obvious opportunity to give thanks, at least here in the U.S. with the Thanksgiving holiday. Sure, we’ll all be devouring turkey, yams, and all kinds of pie. But we’ll also get a pre-holiday break—the perfect pause before the busyness of the holidays descends upon us all—and a chance to reflect, give thanks, and relax.
How the team at Blurb will be spending Thanksgiving
1. Cooking up a storm
Thanksgiving is the perfect time to cook up all the family favorites, which is why we’ve already planned our holiday feasts. Gathering the recipes we all grew up with and passing them down is a great way to keep family traditions alive. (And putting them in a book in easy way to do so, and makes a great holiday gift, come Christmas-time.)
2. Photographing our families
At Blurb, we’re a wee bit obsessed with documenting our most memorable moments. Whether we’re at work or at home, we’re often camera in-hand snapping something that needs to be remembered. Which really comes in handy come holiday time when we want to put together a custom book for our friends or families.
Whether you’re hosting Thanksgiving this year or are headed out of town, keep your camera and iPhone at the ready. You’ll be so pleased come book-making time that you did.
3. Hitting the outdoors
With 49 state parks in California offering free admission on Black Friday, there’s never been a better reason to get the family outside and on the move. Sure, you can get a head start on your holiday shopping, but you have the whole weekend for that.
Whether you hit a national park or just your local patch of grass, making memories with your family (and burning off those heaping seconds) is a great way to spend the holiday.
