About the Book
Alysa Parker is a late bloomer. At nearly twenty-five she just graduated with an art degree, while her identical twin, Melissa, will soon be married and has an important job as a preservationist. While Melissa seems to have it all figured out, Alysa feels she and her twin are drifting apart.
When a sailboat accident puts Melissa in a coma and threatens the completion of her work to save the historic Mirage movie theater from demolition, Alysa struggles with the reality that her sister might not make it and they will never have the chance to make their relationship whole again.
It isn’t until musician Nate Santo moves to town and challenges Alysa to believe in herself, that she begins to find her way as a creative individual and as more than just a mirror image of someone else.
As Alysa works to uncover the truth behind a commercial developer who wants to raze the theater, she discovers the flaws in her own life plan. Alysa’s greatest hope is that her sister will wake up so they can demolish the barriers that have come between them.
